7. UGB provider’s right to refuse procedure performance and subsequent withdrawal from procedure performance

Each patient or client undergoes an examination by a specialist doctor at the UGB clinic before agreeing to a procedure. During this examination, the doctor may provide an opinion that the patient is not suitable for any procedure, that they are conditionally suitable, meaning that at the time of examination not all conditions for safe procedure performance are met, but there is a probability that this will change over time, or that they are suitable for procedure performance.

In case of reasons related to the patient’s current condition that are temporary in nature (recovery from accompanying illness, other illness, pregnancy), the doctor or therapist may suggest a new date for procedure performance to the patient, or the patient is notified that they will receive a new date for the planned procedure subsequently, when the reasons for current unsuitability for procedure performance have passed. In case of subsequently identified permanent reasons for unsuitability for the procedure, the doctor explains the reasons to the patient.

The procedure is also not performed if the patient refuses to provide written consent for procedure performance on the designated form issued by UGB provider.
