Enterocele or vaginal prolapse
Enterocele, or prolapse of the vaginal vault, most often occurs after removal of the uterus through the vagina or through the abdominal wall.
This is a very disturbing disorder that greatly burdens life, and surgical intervention is required for treatment.

Treatment
Ordinary colporrhaphy, or vaginal stitching, is not effective in the treatment of enterocele.
To restore the normal position of the vagina, we must use a mesh, which can be inserted either laparoscopically or through the vagina.
When deciding on the most optimal surgical approach, we take into account the clinical and other characteristics of the patients, as well as their wishes.
The laparoscopic procedure is performed under general anesthesia, the operation lasts 90 minutes, and we discharge the patient home the day after the operation. The operation through the vagina can also be performed under sedation or regional anesthesia, the operation lasts less than an hour, and the patient is discharged home the day after the operation.
